Die tröstende Ballade PAUL ist ein Bekenntnis an die Freundschaft. „I never thought I’d have a friend / quite as good as you / being round you always feels a bit like coming home“. CLARA PAZZINI beschwört uns nicht zu vergessen, dass wir alle fallen, aber auch wieder aufstehen können. „Oh Paul / please recall / there’s a sound of laughter / every time we fall“. Dabei schwingt die warme chansonneske Stimme der Künstlerin im Wechsel mit Vocoder-Stimmen. Diese liebevolle Darstellung erzählt davon wie wichtig es ist, an unsere Verletzlichkeit und an die in ihr liegende Kraft zu glauben.

ANTIDOTE is a critical hiphop song which depicts surrealistic scenarios of our society. It is a comical caricature of the world we live in. Smooth and edgy hip hop beats are paired with deep rock bass sounds. Clara Pazzinis voice changes easily between spoken word and overdriven lyrical momentum’s. ‚And the money doesn’t heal and our souls try to conceal what our body tells us in our dreams at night‘ No superhero will save us, we have to do it on our own!

ANTIDOTE ist ein kritischer Hip Hop Track, der durch surrealistische Szenarien unserer Gesellschaft führt: Eine Karikatur der Welt, in der wir leben. Sanfte und kantige Hip-Hop-Beats werden mit tiefen Rock-Bass-Sounds gepaart. Clara Pazzinis Stimme wechselt mit Leichtigkeit zwischen spoken word und lyrisch- tragenden Passagen. (‚And the money doesn’t heal and our souls try to conceal what our body tells us in our dreams at night‘‚Und das Geld heilt nicht/und unsere Seele versucht zu verbergen/was uns unser Körper Nachts in unseren Träumen sagen.‘) Als wollte uns die Künstlerin sagen: Kein Superheld wird uns retten, wir müssen es alleine tun!

HOURGLASS is a ballad and a quest for love. Like a mermaid the singer lures us into spheres that change between a stream of consciousness and poetic descriptions of her surroundings. Is she addressing herself or another? Her sonor voice with its natural vibrato travels with ease between the orchestral sounds, electronic beats and moments of ecstatic opera. Hourglass is an inner monologue and a pledge for love. It is a world never heard before!

HOURGLASS ist eine melancholische Ballade und ein Kampf um die Liebe. Wie eine Meerjungfrau lockt uns die Sängerin in Sphären die zwischen einem inneren Monolog und poetischen Beschreibungen Ihrer Umgebung hin und her wechseln. Spricht sie mit sich selbst oder einem Gegenüber? Ihre sonore Stimme bewegt sich mit Leichtigkeit zwischen spoken words Passagen orchestralen Sounds, elektronischen Beats und opernhaften (Aus)brüchen. Lasst euch verführen und mitnehmen in diese nie zuvor gehörte Welt!

I WANT MY FREEDOM WE THINK IN BOXES are the first lines of the debut single of Clara Pazzini’s debut album planned for fall of this year. Similar to a stream of consciousness, we fly through the musical genres of the track. We are seduced by the orchestral sounds of an old Hollywood movie, dance to the catchy baseline of the chorus, are caught by surprise by a French rap part while wishing the song would never end.
When Clara Pazzini asks us to stop looking at my boobs booty boobs you can feel the seriousness that flashes through her sense of humour. I immediately long for a utopian world in which we collectively dance to be freed from our traumatic experiences. Well and why does it have to be in utopia? In BOXES everything seems possible and so I find myself having the same urge as the the singer repeats in the chorus: she wants to live in freedom.
Clara Pazzini invites us to listen to each other and to stop believing in those patriarchal and normative attributions. How refreshing, timeless and simply avant-garde!
